IF there was ever an individual who deserved not only a greatest hits collection, a collection of remixes and an ultimate collection, Sipho “Hotstix” Mabuse would have to be first in line.

RATING: 9/10
As one of South Africa’s most revered artists, he has contributed almost 50 years of musical genius, in the form of Thaba Bosiu, Jive Soweto, How Much More and Zanzibar. Even though not too many will admit it openly, in fear of being stoned by some of the legend’s most dedicated fans, Mabuse does not possess the most incredible voice in the music business, but despite this he has managed to be a bona fide legend.
He has done this by churning out hit after hit such as Burnout (recently remixed by Stoan Seete and bad boy rapper Speedy), Shikisha and the happy-clappy Jive Soweto. What has seen him easily become the most recognisable musician of his generation is an ability to defy all myths about men and multitask.
He is an avid drummer, talented performer and a treasured legend.
